JACKSONVILLE, AR -- Some folks in Jacksonville call it one of the biggest things to happen to the city since the Little Rock Air Force Base opened.

They're talking about forming a new school district.

Right now, Jacksonville children go to Pulaski County Special School District, but the mayor and other city leaders would like to separate.

If you want to join in on the conversation, there's a meeting tomorrow night in support of forming that new school district.

It's at 6:30 at the Jacksonville Community Center.

The new district would serve about 4,000 students in ten schools.
