The first round rolled in about 5:00 tonight.
At first, the rain delayed the Travs game at Dickey Stephens Park.
But just after 5:00, officials decided to cancel the game all together.
Fans we talked to say they expected the rain might cancel baseball for the evening and they just tried to make the most of it.
Nate Olson said, "We didn't see baseball, but we got out of the house and had fun. We got some souvenirs, candy and stuff so we had a good time."
Other people we talked to, in the River Market area, said they're ready for the sun to come out and stay.
Banjo said, "Well I'm in my 70's and I'm going to tell you this weather hurts your arthritis so I'll be glad when warm weather gets here and stays."
Martez Johnson said, "I think it needs to change because we're downtown and it's pretty and that's how we make our money here at the River Market, so it needs to change pretty quick. I don't like it. I like the sun personally."
Entergy and county road crews are on standby and ready to go at a moment's notice should damage become an issue with a second round of storms expected later this evening.
