Bryant police arrested 31-year-old Krystal Hopkins after a neighbor called saying the kids were alone.
Police say Hopkins was found later that night inside her car in a ditch.
According to police reports, the children were alone with two men, Dustin Harrington and Gary Mitchell, both wanted for outstanding warrants. Mitchell was found with a used syringe.
Police say a neighbor called Tuesday night, when told by the children they hadn't seen their mom in days.
Police were notified, and when they arrived, they found two men inside the house whom the kids did not know.
"We had all the ice. I'm sure that scared them a little bit. So now they're stuck up in this apartment not knowing where their mom's at all. No contact with her. So yeah, it's not a situation any kid would want to be in," said Sgt. Todd Crowson with the Bryant Police Department.
Police say the kids were scared, hungry didn't have anything to eat.
Their mother has since been released from jail but faces three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, one of which was a felony because of the child's young age.
