LITTLE ROCK, AR-- A blind man injured in a hit-and-run is now out of the hospital recovering.

Friends of Robert Thompson tell FOX16 he went home Friday.

Thompson was hit while walking to Kroger at Markham and Rodney Parham in December.

He says his dog, Lenny, helped save his life by getting the attention of passers-by.

Thompson says he wanted to leave the hospital quickly so he could enjoy the Superbowl this weekend.
