Many folks in the Hillcrest neighborhood are happy to hear that. A lot of them walking, of course with a friend due to roads being too slick to travel.
"We are going to try and go all the way across town. We've seen a real even accumulation of snow and ice during this event," says Mark Jacobi of Little Rock Public Works.
Public Works officials say it's fun the first day for folks but the calls are now starting to roll in.
They have about nine trucks that will take to the streets of residential areas this afternoon, with plenty of sand and salt to get the streets cleared.
