Deadline To Submit Petition Signatures For November Ballot Is Monday

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Monday is the deadline for organizers trying to bring issues to the November ballot to turn in their signatures.

Constitutional amendments require around 78,000 signatures and a referendum requires around 48,000.

The signatures are turned in to the Secretary of State's office and they have until the end of August to count and verify the signatures.

Then they will certify the ballot initiatives.

There are several different groups in Arkansas trying to get their issues on the November ballot.

The issues range from raising the minimum wage to legalizing the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes.
