HOT SPRINGS, AR -- The Garland County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) is investigating three deaths in a case of suspected double murder-suicide.
Deputies found the bodies Tuesday night inside a home in the 800 block of Blacksnake Road where they had gone to make a welfare check.
The request was made by someone who told the GCSO that no one had heard from or seen the residents since Saturday and they were worried about them.
When deputies arrived, they looked inside and saw an unresponsive person lying on the floor. They then went inside the home and found the other bodies. They are identified as: Judy Ritter (50), her husband David Ritter (49) and their son Jonathan Ritter (23).
The initial investigation leads deputies to believe that Judy and David Ritter were victims of a homicide, committed by Jonathan, and that Jonathan then committed suicide.
At this point there is no indication of a motive or what caused their deaths.
We will have more details tomorrow or as the investigation develops.
