JONESBORO, AR -- The Hispanic community in Jonesboro celebrated the annual Hot Pepper Festival today.
The Hispanic Community Center hosted the free event to promote health and fitness in the community.
Executive Director of Hispanic Community Services says the event is a celebration of Hispanic culture.
"The festival just keeps growing every year just like the Hispanic community keeps growing," Gomez said. "We have more people attending, so that's wonderful."
This year's activities included a 5k/10k run through downtown Jonesboro.
There was also food, music, arts and crafts, and a petting zoo.
The festival is usually held in May, but had to be postponed till August this year.
