Jonesboro Man Stabs Therapist with Kitchen Knife

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A Jonesboro man was charged with 1st degree battery, aggravated assault and carrying a weapon after he stabbed a woman, according to a Jonesboro Police incident report.

According to police, Charles Lavell Bausley, 53, of Jonesboro was taken into custody at Mid South Health Systems, located at 2709 Browns Lane.

At approximately 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, Officer Daniel Gifford and several other officers responded to Mid South Health Systems regarding a stabbing. When Gifford got on scene, an Arkansas State Trooper had Bausley in custody. According to the police report, the victim was a therapist.

Police then found a large kitchen knife inside a black briefcase. When officers asked Bausley what was going on, he stated, "she is the devil and I got her." Bausley was then informed of his Miranda Rights.

Bausley was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.
