Update: Jefferson County Deputy Charged in Late Night Club Shooting

Update (July 31):
PINE BLUFF, AR - Randy Jackson, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputy allegedly involved in a late night club shooting on July 5 was charged with Battery 1 a Class B felony on Thursday.

Original Story (July 12):
PINE BLUFF, AR -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Investigator involved in a late night shooting earlier this month has resigned.

Criminal Investigator Randy Jackson  has been on paid administrative leave since the shooting.

The internal investigation is underway to determine if Jackson violated any departmental policies.

A spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says his resignation was accepted as submitted.
