LITTLE ROCK, AR - Lawmakers put the finishing touches on a more than $5-billion dollar budget.

Just a few quick votes in both the house and senate and the longest budget session to date is wrapped up.

The most high profile vote, healthcare expansion passed last week after four failed votes last month.

House Speaker Davy Carter says he's concerned about attempts to make major policy changes during future budget sessions.

"I think that's a serious issue that everybody needs to be concerned with. We got really close to having a real standoff here," said Carter.

The house will elect a new speaker of the house next week.
