The unknown male is believed to be between 45-55 years of age. He was on the trestle over the Arkansas River backwater when the train engine struck him around 3 p.m., according to police reports.

The Johnson County Dive Team was called and after searching for about 10 minutes, they were able to locate the body in 13 feet of water.
Johnson County Coroner, Dave Cogan, pronounced the subject dead at the scene.
The body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for a autopsy and to determine identity.
