The news comes after a fight last week at Maumelle Middle School.
Officers say the concerns have not been confirmed and they don't want to scare parents. But they just want to give parents tools to help children avoid gang activity.
Police say when it comes to gangs, parents should always observe their children and don't overlook the obvious.
"If your kid is coming home at 3 o'clock in the morning on a routine basis, there is obviously something going on," said Captain Jim Hansard.
In Maumelle, parents can even request an officer come to their home to talk to an unruly child.
"We are more than willing to come and help if we are called," said Hansard.
Most importantly, take action if you have worries.
Police say they have all campuses in Maumelle under a close eye with three school resources officers spread out through all schools, so parents should have full confidence in police, school staffers and teachers.
