LITTLE ROCK, AR - A Little Rock boy is in Missouri this weekend, wrestling for the Brute National Championship Title.

12-year-old Jordan Smith took home the Silver, and his family couldn't be prouder.

Jordan is blind and attends the Arkansas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where he's been wrestling for 6 years.

On the phone Sunday, his mother Tametra Smith told FOX 16 he's an inspiration.

"This is the message for any and everybody. There is nothing you can't do no matter what comes your way, no matter what you have or don't have, there's no excuse," says Tametra Smith, Jordan's mother.

Jordan's mom said he's gone through so much growing up, undergoing multiple surgeries since he was four months old.

"I'm so overjoyed for Jordan. It's amazing how  other teams and other wrestlers rallied around him today, encouraging him and just being encouraged and impressed by how far he's made it," says Smith.

Jordan and his family say they are already seeking out the Gold at next year's competition.
