Update: No Arrests Following Shooting at Waffle House in Little Rock

- LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Little Rock Police confirm a shooting at the Waffle House on North Shackleford Road. They report the shooting happened just before 3 a.m.

It's an unexpected story to hear for those planning on sitting down for a meal later Monday, in a place they wouldn't expect and especially one so close to home.

"It catches you when you hear about it," said Derrick Davis, with his wife and newborn child. "You're frightened for a second but you gotta understand it's life, the way stuff happens."

Police say it appears the shooter was first inside the restaurant and was involved in an argument with another person.

According to police the shooter told the other person he was going to go outside and get a gun. He did and when he came back inside he shot the intended person while they were at the register checking out.

An additional round fired also hit a Waffle House employee.

There is no suspect in custody and police have not released any additional information.

Some good news though, according to Little Rock Police the injuries to both victims appeared to not be life-threatening.

Officials say it is unknown if the if the victim knows the suspect.
