Pine Bluff Man Attacked While Skateboarding, Left With Serious Injuries

PINE BLUFF, AR - A Pine Bluff man is left with multiple injuries after police say several suspects in an SUV attacked him on June 30.

Shortly after 1:00 a.m. Andrew Lawson, 26, had gone to the McDonald’s at 2819 S Olive to ride his skateboard when an SUV pulled up and he was forced to get inside.

According to police there were three suspects inside the vehicle when a fight began.

Police say the driver of the SUV stopped behind the Head Hunters Barber Shop at 3209 S Main and the fight spilled from the vehicle and continued outside where it was caught on surveillance camera.

Police say during the fight Mr. Lawson was shot twice, and struck in the head with the gun several times.

According to police, after the suspects got back into the vehicle they rammed Lawson with it as he was limping away.

Lawson was able to make his way to 102 W 31st and call for help.

Lawson was taken to the hospital and police say he suffered a skull fracture, gunshot wounds to his hand and leg, and a broken leg.

No word yet on his condition.
