Police: Woman Charged with Battery after Attacking Caregiver with Knife

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A woman who works as a caregiver with an agency for the developmentally disabled is recovering from stab and bite wounds suffered in an alleged attack by a woman who is her client.

It happened Sunday afternoon around 2 inside an apartment on Chenonceau Boulevard.

According to the police report, the victim, 34, suffered knife wounds to the chest and hand, along with a bite to the lower leg.

The suspect, 31, who reportedly pulled a steak knife from her purse, was also injured in a struggle with the victim over the knife and suffered small cuts to her face, neck and thumb.

Police say the suspect is charged with Domestic Battery in the incident.

The caregiver was expected to need stitches and a tetanus shot, according to the police report.
