Projected: Ross Wins Democratic Primary for Arkansas Governor

LITTLE ROCK, AR - FOX 16 News is projecting Mike Ross has won the Democratic Primary for Arkansas governor.

Election returns are just coming in but his defeat of Lynette Bryant appears assured.

Ross is a native of Prescott who now resides in Little Rock. He is a former U.S. Congressman (2000-2012) who served the state's 4th District. He is also a former small business owner and state senator. 

His main challenger in November is expected to be Republican Asa Hutchinson, who is expected to defeat Curtis Coleman in the Republican gubernatorial primary tonight.

Libertarian Frank Gilbert of Tull and Green Party candidate J. Joshua Drake will also be on the November ballot in the race.
