Prostitution Ring Bust Lands More Than 20 Behind Bars

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - "That's the seed and it can just grow and grow and grow into something bigger and that could be you know, drugs, guns," says Kimberly White.

A recent prostitution crack down at nearby hotels in North Little Rock has business owners like Kimberly White not surprised.

"I find it a little humorous just because of the location," says White.

White owns the gas station just a few feet away from one of the hotels.

Where over the past three days the FBI along with local law enforcement arrested at least 22 people for prostitution.

White says the high traffic may be because of the gentleman's club in the area.

"Having a gentleman's club that close to a hotel it was just bound to happen at some point," says White.

Arrest records obtained by FOX16 show agents used a website known as "Back Page" to track down those involved.

"That's just something that doesn't need to be going on around this area for sure," says White.

Now although business owners say they are not surprised by the prostitution in the area, they say they are glad that law enforcement is cracking down to prevent other crimes from happening.

It's just the seed of something that could explode into something else that it just gets bigger and bigger, you have to start somewhere," says White.

And with more than twenty arrests White hopes this crackdown will not only clean up the area, but make it safer for her and her customers.

We reached out to local law enforcement involved for more information but they could not answer any questions and directed us to the FBI.

Agents with the FBI have not returned our phone calls yet.
