Rep. Steel Welcomes Rutledge Into Attorney General Race

LITTLE ROCK, AR (News release) – Today, Representative Nate Steel congratulated Leslie Rutledge and welcomed her into the general election race for Attorney General.

“Now that the field is set, I look forward to continuing my travels around our great state to talk with voters about my record fighting to protect our children and seniors, keep our communities safe and move Arkansas forward,” Steel said. “As a prosecutor who has sent dangerous criminals to prison, and a legislator who sponsored the legislation that created the Cybercrimes Unit within the Attorney General’s office, I am the only candidate with the experience to walk into the office ready to go on day one.”

“I intend to continue my work protecting Arkansans as Attorney General,” Rep. Steel said. “As an Arkansan who has spent my whole life in this state that I love, and spent my whole adult life serving, I will work tirelessly every day to protect all of our citizens and defend all of our laws,” Steel concluded.

Nate Steel is currently serving his third term in Arkansas House of Representatives.

From Nashville, Nate represents Howard, Pike, parts of Clark and Hempstead counties. Nate is a sixth generation Arkansan. He serves on the Howard Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, the Cossatot Community College UofA Foundation Board of Directors and CASA for Children Board of Advisors. Nate is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Nashville, Arkansas.
