Sherwood Cheer Mom Goes to Trial in This Fall in Rape Case

LITTLE ROCK, AR - A September trial date has been set for a Sherwood mom featured on a national cheerleading reality show.

This morning, Andrea Clevenger was in court for the first time since her January arrest. She's accused of having sex with an underage boy and also exchanging sexually explicit text messages with the then 13-year-old.

Clevenger, who appeared on the show "Cheer Perfection," has entered a not guilty plea.

Pre-trial motions are set for Aug. 7 with the trial starting on Sept. 9.

Clevenger is facing two felony counts including rape and engaging a child in sexually explicit conduct.
