LITTLE ROCK, AR - It's an old setting to face today's problems. State lawmakers are meeting up at the Old State House for a special session of the Arkansas Legislature.

The topics of discussion include a solution to the public school employee insurance crisis, a prison overcrowding problem, and whether or not monitor-style lottery gaming should be allowed.

The special session got under way at 4 this afternoon with opening day proceedings.

This is the second extraordinary session of the 89th General Assembly.
