Road crews to resurface MLK Expressway

Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says lanes will be closed as crews resurface one mile of the Martin Luther King Expressway, or U.S. Highway 270, in Hot Springs.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says lanes will be closed as crews resurface one mile of the Martin Luther King Expressway, or U.S. Highway 270, in Hot Springs.

Officials say one eastbound lane and a westbound lane of the expressway between Airport Road and Albert Pike Road will be closed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning Friday and lasting through July 3. One lane of traffic will remain open in both directions.

Highway officials are asking motorists to exercise caution when approaching and traveling through all highway work zones.
