ALTUS, Ark. (AP) — Authorities in Franklin County say one person is dead after an overnight house fire.
The fire was reported in Altus at about 2 a.m. Friday. Fayetteville television station KHOG ( reports that a neighbor told authorities that he heard an explosion. When deputies arrived, they saw the back of the house in flames.
Crews in Franklin County are investigating. The victim's name has not yet been released.
