LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas Republican are gathering to pick the rest of the delegates they plan to send to the national GOP convention in Tampa, Fla.
State Republicans are choosing the balance of 36 delegates they'll send to the convention at the end of August. Party members are expected to meet all day Saturday.
The party has already selected the 12 delegates that will represent the state's four congressional districts and an equal number of alternates.
The Saturday meeting will be to pick 21 at-large delegates and their alternates.
The 36 delegates includes three automatic selections — the state party chairman and the national committeeman and national committeewoman.
