LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Gov. Mike Beebe's administration is preparing to unveil to lawmakers his budget proposals for next year. The proposals may reveal whether he plans on pushing for another cut in the state's grocery tax.

State finance officials on Thursday plan to provide details to the Joint Budget Committee on Beebe's budget and their revenue projections for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2013.

Beebe has offered few hints on his budget plans, including whether he'll call for another cut in the sales tax on groceries. The Democratic governor has successfully pushed for reducing the tax from 6 percent to 1.5 percent since he took office in 2007.

State Human Services officials have already detailed their plans to close a $138 million shortfall in Medicaid's budget next year by cutting some services.
