HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) — A new store has opened on Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs as part of a plan to repurpose historic bath houses as retail and entertainment destinations.

The Eastern National bookstore opened on Friday as the Bathhouse Row Emporium at the Lamar Bath House. The store had operated at the Fordyce Bath House, where the Hot Springs National Park visitor center is.

The Sentinel-Record reports the store is a joint effort with the National Park Service.

The move increases the size of the bookstore and enables it to expand its product lines. Visitors will be able to sip coffee, tea or hot chocolate made with Hot Springs National Park's namesake thermal waters, and purchase products unique to the park.
