FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say a clown arrested in Arkansas this week is accused of possessing child pornography.
Fort Smith police spokesman Cpl. Steven Dooly says Thursday that 47-year-old Thomas Harold Morgan will likely be arraigned next week.
Morgan, who goes by the stage name "Sondance the Clown," hasn't been formally charged since police arrested him Wednesday. Authorities are analyzing computers and hard drives seized from his home.
Dooly has said he doesn't know whether Morgan has an attorney. A prosecutor didn't return phone messages seeking comment.
Morgan is being held without bond at the Sebastian County Jail on a charge of possessing material that depicts sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
He didn't respond to email or phone messages. Police say he bills himself as being available for children's events.
