LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Patrons visiting Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville can get a jump on getting the audio tours.

The museum on Wednesday launched apps for iPhone and iPad that include a variety of audio tours and other features. Crystal Bridges officially opens Friday.

Museum goers can also check out audio players at no charge. That may remain an option for many iPhone owners as the app takes up 486 megabytes, about a half-gig. It takes a while to download.

Audio tours based on several themes are included, as are pictures and historical information on works on exhibit.

Also featured are maps of the sculpture-dotted woodland that surrounds the museum. The app has maps of the galleries and museum amenities as well as information about museum services.
