LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas voters can start casting their ballots for the Nov. 6 election.

Early voting begins at locations around the state starting Monday and ending Nov. 5. Voters can contact their county clerks to ask about early voting locations, which will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Secretary of State Mark Martin recommends voters verify their address to ensure they are given the correct ballot.

Voters will cast ballots on the presidential race and congressional races. Most of the campaign's focus has been on House and Senate races around the state. Republicans are trying to win control of the state Legislature for the first time since Reconstruction.

The election will also feature ballot measures, including a sales tax hike for highways and a proposal to legalize medical marijuana.
