HAGARVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the apparent homicide of a 71-year-old woman found dead in her rural Johnson County home.
Sheriff Jimmy Dorney says Julie Richardson was found dead in her Hagarville home Monday afternoon by neighbors who had gone to the house to check on her because they couldn't reach her on the telephone.
Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Johnson County coroner's office.
Authorities aren't releasing her cause of death but say it appears to be a homicide. No arrests have been made, but the sheriff says it appears to be an isolated incident.
