Only problem with that jw is that Entergy is not a cooperative, therefore the only thing we, the customers of Entergy, will get is a hike in our rate. I priced a generator last week that will power my entire house. It runs on LP. I can actually run my entire house for a few bucks (not much) cheaper than Entergy is ripping me for. I'm doing the math now to see that if at my age it is worth the initial investment.

if residents/customers are paying an additional dollar-and-change each month, Entergy isn't buying the plant - the customers are. That means all the customers should see a dividend check if the company is profitable.

You would be better of buying a gen and running it off propane or natural gas. The fee's from Entergy are out of sight!
