LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Gov. Mike Beebe says state agencies can expect a relatively flat budget in the coming year as his administration prepares to release its revenue forecast.

Beebe on Wednesday said the state's general revenue has remained stable but that next year's budget will have to take into account tax cuts and potential reductions in federal money for some agencies. The Department of Finance and Administration is scheduled on Thursday to release its revenue forecast for the fiscal year that begins July 1.

Beebe won't release his balanced budget proposal until Jan. 17. The revenue forecast will offer lawmakers a guide as they prepare for next year's fiscal session, which begins Feb. 13.

Arkansas revenues for the year to date are $9.9 million above forecast, according to figures released last month.
