Griffin, Rule to speak to Delta Caucus in LR

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Republican Congressman Tim Griffin and Democratic rival Herb Rule are speaking on job creation and other issues as they address the Delta Grassroots Caucus.

Griffin and Rule planned to address the group Thursday afternoon as its conference at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. Griffin is running for re-election to represent the 2nd district in central Arkansas.

The group is also scheduled to hear from U.S. Sen. John Boozman and Mike Marshall, alternate federal co-chairman of the Delta Regional Authority, on Thursday.

U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford and the three Democrats running for his 1st District seat in east Arkansas planned to speak to the group on Friday along with Gov. Mike Beebe, U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor and U.S. Rep. Mike Ross.
