LEWISVILLE, Ark. (AP) — An inmate whose death sentence was overturned last year has a court hearing in southern Arkansas.

Frank Williams' hearing is expected to get under way on Tuesday in southern Arkansas' Lafayette County.

Williams was sentenced to die for the 1992 shooting death of farmer Clyde Spence, but the Arkansas Supreme Court last year reversed Williams' death sentence because of what the justices called a breakdown in the appellate process.

Neither a prosecutor nor Williams' attorney immediately returned phone messages seeking comment.
