SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) — A judge has dismissed a lawsuit against the city of Springdale filed by the former mayor of an Oklahoma town.

The Springdale Morning News reports that U.S. District Judge Jimm Larry Hendren dismissed the suit Monday. The lawsuit filed by Karin Woodruff claimed that Springdale police arrested her without cause and denied her medical treatment in November 2009.

Woodruff is a former mayor of Wilburton in eastern Oklahoma.

Woodruff's lawsuit says she had undergone brain surgery to remove a tumor and visited a hospital the same night she was stopped. Her suit says she received prescriptions for medications.

She was arrested for driving while intoxicated but the charge was later dismissed.

The judge found there was no evidence that Woodruff was denied medical care or stopped without probable cause.
