JUDSONIA, Ark. (AP) — Judsonia's mayor says the town will soon have a second tornado siren.

Mayor Rickey Veach says the site for the siren will be near a school and that the pole should be set up on Monday. The wiring and siren will be installed soon afterward.

Judsonia was the site of a devastating tornado on March 21, 1952, in which 50 people died in and around the city. Across the state, 112 people lost their lives that day.

The Daily Citizen reports Judsonia Police Chief Ray Coffman says the additional siren will raise awareness and that everyone in the White County town should be hear the warnings.
