JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (AP) — The White House says first lady Michelle Obama will visit the Little Rock Air Force Base next week to promote the second anniversary of her "Let's Move!" initiative geared at reducing childhood obesity.

The first lady is expected to make an announcement about military efforts to serve more nutritious food on its military bases. The Little Rock base is part of a special pilot program that offers a greater variety of healthy foods.

Obama is expected to be briefed on the Air Force's healthy eating efforts, then tour a dining facility with cooks and airmen.

The event is set for 2:15 p.m. at the air base.

The first lady also plans stops in Iowa, Florida and Texas as part of a three-day tour.

As an employee at little rock afb dining facility believe me when I tell u its all fake. The food there serving is no more healthly than what the air force has served in the past. The whole program is bs

Still don't want my tax money paying for her election year jaunt. Probably didn't cost what her husband's little parties do.

Funny you should bring up her husband. The only thing I've noticed about him is he so private. Not in the public eye as much as the others were. I'd like to see more of both of them out in the public giving opinions and working issues. Kind of getting back to us regular guys. Keep up the good work.

She has dome more good with things like this than her sorry husband has done as president. I'll be glad when he is gone.
