FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) — An Oklahoma man has been arrested in the death of a Kibler man whose body was found in an alley by a couple looking at a rental property.

Fort Smith police say Brandon Fritts was in jail in Sequoyah County on unrelated drug charges when he was arrested. He's accused in the Jan. 4 shooting death of 36-year-old Jamie Lee Czeck.

The Fort Smith Police Department says investigators searched Fritts' home and property owned by Fritts' father in Sallisaw, Okla. Police recovered a handgun that they believe was used in the shooting. Police say they believe Fritts' father didn't know the handgun was hidden on his property.

Fritts is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder on a $1 million bond. Court records did not list an attorney for Fritts.
