EUREKA SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A large Passion play in northwest Arkansas says it may close unless it receives financial help.

The Great Passion Play's executive director, Sam Ray, says the nonprofit group needs about $500,000 to keep the doors open.

Ray says tourism has dipped during tough economic times. He's asking for donations and for people to come see the show in Eureka Springs.

The Great Passion Play's website says the show portrays the last few days of Jesus Christ's life with a dramatic cast and live donkeys, camel and sheep.
