LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department crews will perform a routine inspection on the Interstate 54 bridge over the Arkansas River between Fort Smith and Van Buren.
Officials say the inspection process will require the outside lane to be closed alternating between the northbound and southbound lanes Monday through Wednesday.
The lane closure will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day if the weather allows.
Officials are urging motorists to exercise caution when driving through this and all highway work zones.
