LAKEVIEW, Ark. (AP) - A small plane carrying three people crashed at Gaston's White River Resort. No one was hurt but the aircraft was badly damaged.

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office was summoned at 2:30 p.m. Sunday after the four-seat Cirrus CSR 22 aircraft went into some trees when attempting to take off.

The sheriff's office said Monday the pilot encountered difficulties while trying to become airborne and both of the plane's wings struck trees along the resort's airstrip.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

The sheriff's office identified the pilot as 30-year-old Jordan Smith of Kansas City, Mo.

That is one hairy runway, flew in once to fish and eat and left after dark, need a great pilot and plane and it will still scare the crap out of ya

Especially when your plane is loaded down with a hundred pounds of rainbow trout. The fish had the last word.
