WYNNE, Ark. (AP) — The suspect in the bludgeoning death of an elderly woman inside a Cross County church will be held without bond on a capital murder charge.

Rene Patrick Bourassa also faces charges of theft of property, fraudulent use of a credit card, commercial burglary and aggravated robbery in the June 6 attack on 80-year-old Lillian Wilson.

Bourassa was arrested last week in Washington and authorities say he was driving Wilson's car.

Bourassa's first court appearance was Wednesday, and he's set for another hearing on July 12.

Wilson was found beaten to death between two pews in a Methodist church in the eastern Arkansas community of Hamlin.
