FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — The University of Arkansas says it's in the final negotiating stages to make PepsiCo the exclusive provider of non-alcoholic cold drinks on campus.
The deal would take effect July 1 and run for 10 years. UA says the final value of the contract won't be released until the negotiations are complete. The agreement affects all cold beverages sold on campus and at sporting events.
Drinks available on campus will include: Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Lipton iced teas, SoBe, Aquafina, Tropicana and Gatorade. Rockstar Energy Drink, Muscle Milk and Dr. Pepper dispensed from soda fountains will also be available.
If approved, the deal with Pepsi will end Arkansas' long-time partnership with Coca-Cola.
