YELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A former shirt factory is reopening in Yellville, where nearly 50 workers will produce a new product line.

The Harrison Daily Times reports that American Stitchco expects to hire 48 employees within a week.

The Mountain Home-based company produces auto accessories and components, specializing in products made of fabric, vinyl, or leather, which are stitched, stuffed, heat sealed, screen printed or embroidered. Exterior spare tire covers are among the products made by the company.

The company also makes non-automotive products, including aerospace stowage containers, pillows, diapers and camouflage hunting outfits.

The Marion County Quorum Court has transferred the lease of the building from the prior tenant to American Stitchco.
