Storms Topple Trees in Polk, Pike Counties

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Storms moving through Arkansas today are leaving damage behind.

As severe thunderstorms swept across Polk and Pike counties on the state's western side, they toppled trees.

According to storm reports from the National Weather Service, the downed trees were reported shortly after 11 a.m. at Cove and Vandervoort in Polk County.

In Cove, there are multiple trees down. Numerous county roads and one lane of Highway 246 east of Vandervoort are reported blocked by fallen trees. There are also many power outages reported throughout the county.

At 11:45 this morning, a tree was also reported blocking Highway 369 about 3 miles south of Langley and just north of Highway 70 in Pike County.
