LITTLE ROCK, AR – An 11-year-old boy brought an unloaded handgun onto the College Hill Middle School campus, according to the Texarkana Police Department.

Police say a school resource officer responded to the school around 3pm. Police say there was no ammunition with the child. Police believe the boy brought the gun to show another classmate.

The boy was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun on school property, a felony.

Please parents! We have the freedom of our 2nd Amendment rights but it is the Parents responsibility to keep our guns where we can get to them but our little ones cannot! It's not that hard! Even a bicycle cable through it and locked to the bedpost or anything to make it where they cannot get to it. I taught my children by letting them hold it (unloaded) and by taking them to a good place and allowing them to shoot it and then told them to NEVER touch Dads guns and NEVER once have they messed with them. They are now grown and have their own and know how to be safe with them.

Lock your guns up!! Kids play with your guns when your not home and if you think they don't you're lying to yourself and aren't responsible enough to own a firearm. LOCK THEM UP!!

This has nothing to do with gun control, this is purely a case of a stupid ass adult not keeping the firearm in a safe place away from the kid. The kid and the parent should be severely punished. If you have kids and if you have guns, dont be a dumbass.
