LITTLE ROCK, AR - About 14,000 First Electric customers were without power in Saline County Sunday.

The cause of the outage is not known but it is not thought to be weather related according to the power company. There was a problem with the electric grid and power was rerouted.

Power to all customers has been restored.

we had 2 strong solar flares hit the earth this morning we are at this moment having a geomagnetic storm.the solar wind from these are due to hit the earth in a couple of days.go to space weather.com..these strong recurring flares also have a effect on the worlds weather. Our weather channel does get the weather reports from the ground..they come from space so why do people have such a hard time believing that our closest star which sustains life on our earth could not have a effect on our world invironment..All i heard from fox when the class x flares began were snickers and sarcasm. Now when they are announced people are not going to take precautions as they should much like preparing for any large storm..That is the very reason during the shifting of the poles or even a breakdown of our power grides many will perish. Why doesn,t thre government warn the population? Its simple..The hardest hit will be the largest citys, there the biggest population will die..therefore leaving a much smaller population of people to worry about.and control. So don,t wait for the news, weather channel,or the government to warn you, because its not going to happen, sensorship at its finest.I dont claim to know how bad the destruction will be due to the magnetic pole shifting and flares,i just know its happening. So educate yourself,i have and yes its scary, but survivable. So who cares..i do..
