14.7% hike in Central Arkansas Transit bus ridership

Central Arkansas Transit says bus ridership in the first five months of 2012 is up almost 15-percent over the same time frame in 2011. That's an increase of almost 150,000 riders -- like Ken Marshall, who started taking the bus in January.

I guess the "tax payers" can pick up the tab when the 2 or 3 passengers on each bus will not cover the cost of the trip. May be cheaper for a taxie for the two?
