LITTLE ROCK, AR--An eighth grade Conway boy said he chased 2 men out of his home using a 12-gauge shotgun Sunday night. Conway police are now investigating the incident.
Brady, whose family's name Fox16 is concealing, says he went to get a glass of water from the kitchen when he heard something strange.
"I walked to the edge of the stairs and I hear them talking. I didn't recognize their voices and I went back to my room and got my 12-gauge shotgun. I loaded it," said Brady.
He then confronted the men on the stairwell with the gun in hand.
"I was really more determined to protect my family," said Brady.
The loud exchange woke his mother.
"I jumped out of bed and all I heard was commotion, running down the stairs," said Angela, Brady's mom.
Brady says the intruders pointed their guns at him and he pointed his back. But instead of shooting the men, he decided to chase them out.
"I think it was the thought of killing another human, it was hard to do for a 14-year-old," said Brady, "I think I may have pulled the trigger because if (criminals) are going to do it once, they are probably going to do it again."
The locks are now changed at his home.
